Whenever someone tells me they are having a bad day, I try to remind them that they are just having a bad moment, and it doesn’t reflect the entire 24 hours. It’s so easy to feel down when something doesn’t go our way, and then we lump in all of the negative things so it seems like a bad day or a bad week. But these things are really just moments, not entire days, and when you separate them, you will give space for the good things to shine through. And if you collect the good things and lump them together instead, often times they will outnumber the bad things, and you find out that you are actually having a good day, or a good week. This takes a lot of work, because just like in episode 4 when I told you that you should be carefully choosing your words, you also have to carefully choose your focus. You have to catch yourself focusing on the bad, and turn it into a good.
